GENEVA-ON-THE-LAKE: Long known for its cruise-in style, Geneva-on-the-Lake will play host to some really big rigs in late June with the Class 8 on the Lake Truck Show. The show is being sponsored by Truckers Helping Hands and will be held June 24 – 25, 2011 in the RV Resorts at Indian Creek Campgrounds (4710 Lake Road East, Geneva on the Lake). If you plan on staying at the Indian Creek Campgrounds (make reservations by May 1, and mention the Class8 on the Lake and receive a 10% discount). After May 1st, its first come, first served.
The 2-day event will feature lots of family fun, including:
- Live Music
- Benefit BBQ
- Benefit Auction
- Events for the Kids
- Parade-of-Lights
Did we mention trucks would be involved?
Of course there will be show-stopping pickups, but tricked out bobtails, semi’s, antique trucks, truck and trailer combos, plus special semi interiors. This will be a judged event and trucks will be coming from all over. So if you’re into trucks, and who isn’t, you’ll want to reserve those dates and plan on making it a big Friday and Saturday in beautiful Ashtabula County.
Lest we forget that the purpose of the show is for the benefit of the Ashtabula County Special Olympics. Make plans now to attend.
