Millersport
Sweet Corn Festival
Millersport Sweet Corn Festival was created to celebrate the end of summer at Buckeye Lake and has been a tradition in Fairfield County since the mid 1940s. Come enjoy hot butter flavored sweet corn served fresh on the cob and piping hot. Bring the whole family to experience a wide variety of delicious foods, a large midway with lots of rides, tractor pulls, square dancing, contests galore, farm animals, historical exhibits and top-name country music entertainers while strolling the shady hills of Historic Lions Park.
The Millersport Sweet Corn Festival is a pure joy and I can recommend it to anyone that enjoys some good ol' country fun and great hospitality. There is boiled corn by the truck load, but plenty of other great foods including fried bologne sandwiches, spit fried chicken, just about everything you could want on "a stick" and donuts!
Proceeds from this four-day community event is a major source of income for over 75 non-profit charitable organizations operating all of the food and game concessions. Millersport is 25 miles east of Columbus on State Route 204 overlooking the south shore of Buckeye Lake.
Admission is free, but there is a fee per car parking on Wed. & Thurs., $10 on Fri. & Sat. if you park on the festival grounds in the 85 acre parking lot.
Pets are not allowed.
The town of Millersport is located on the southwest end of Buckeye Lake. The festival is just outside of town, and there are plenty of signs and police officers providing direction. Parking is in an open field adjacent to the festival.
