Statehouse Weddings
For those couples making future wedding plans, and looking for someplace really unique, they might want to consider the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda. It's not cheap, but then, what is cheap when you're dealing with government entities. When you consider all the amenitities like the Ohio Highway Patrol for security, underground parking for up to 250 guests, tables, white padded chairs for the wedding, electricity, reception in the Atrium and, oh yes, all that ambiance.
Price for the average Statehouse wedding is about 8 grand and that also includes a reheasal dinner the night before. There are a few catches. Wedding dates are only allowed when it doesn't conflict with government. You can reserve your special date through a wedding coordinator that is on staff at the Statehouse.
There are a few rules that must be followed. The wedding must be conducted by someone licensed by the State of Ohio. The ceremony must include reception and a dinner. Catering must be through an approved Ohio Statehouse caterer, which includes: Creative Cuisine, Spagio Restaurant Catering and Vito's Catering.
